Introduction

Reel is an iOS audio recording application developed by 24bit Studios. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

Reel does not collect any personal information. We do not require user accounts, registration, or any form of authentication. We do not collect names, email addresses, location data, device identifiers, or any other personal data through the app.

Audio Recordings

• All audio recordings are created by you and stored exclusively on your device.
• Recordings are saved in WAV format at up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution.
• Audio data never leaves your device through our app. We do not upload, transmit, analyze, transcribe, or process your recordings in any way.
• You have full control to play, export, rename, and delete your recordings at any time within the app.

Microphone Access

Reel requires access to your device's microphone to record audio. iOS will prompt you to grant this permission before your first recording. You can revoke microphone access at any time via Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone on your device.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud for Reel, your recordings may be synced to your iCloud account using Apple's infrastructure. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. Reel does not have access to your iCloud credentials or account information. You can disable iCloud sync for Reel in your device's iCloud settings at any time.

File Export

You can export your recordings via the iOS Share Sheet to other apps, email, AirDrop, or cloud storage services. Once a file is exported from Reel, it is handled by the receiving app or service and is no longer under Reel's control.

Third-Party Services

Reel does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. We do not integrate any third-party SDKs that collect data. The app functions entirely offline.

Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete any or all recordings directly within the app at any time. Deleted files are removed immediately from your device. If you have iCloud sync enabled, you can also delete synced files from iCloud via your device's storage settings.

Children's Privacy

Reel is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the app does not collect any personal data, no special provisions are necessary.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
